Who was Smoke Justis?
Walter "Smoke" Justis pitched the shutout in the 1913 home opener of the Covington Blue Sox. The bar on Court Street carries his name, the house lager is the Blue Sox Light, and the menu still reads like a ball game, from the Starting Lineup to Extra Innings.

What are Smoke Justis's hours?
We open at 6:30 AM every day for breakfast and coffee. Sunday to Thursday we close at 11 PM, Friday and Saturday at 1 AM. The kitchen closes one hour before close.
Do you take reservations?
Yes. Book a table on Toast at tables.toasttab.com, or call (859) 814-8858. Walk-ins are welcome.
Can I order carry out?
Yes. Order carry out online through Toast and pick it up at 302 Court St.
Do you have gluten friendly options?
Several dishes can be made gluten friendly. Ask your server how we can adjust a menu item.
Do you host private parties and catering?
Yes. Rent the Bourbon Lounge, the Board Room or a Clubhouse Cabana for rehearsal dinners, office parties and birthdays, or order catering trays of brisket, pulled pork and sides.
When is live music?
Live music plays most Thursdays from 7 to 10 PM and Fridays and Saturdays from 8 to 11 PM. Bengals games are on with watch parties on Sundays. See the event calendar for this week's lineup.
